GOOD READ
Cute short read. You will get exactly what these stories are; 1 night stands, quick HEA and great sexy scenes. Even thought the story is short it gives you a good understanding of the characters and explanation of their situations. Really enjoyed it and look forward to reading some of her longer wolf stories.
Joseph Penn has arrived at a bar in New York City for his sister's birthday party. While he is sitting there alone waiting, he starts to realize that its been a while since his arrival and still his sister has shown. Thats when he receives a text from a madame Evangeline, someone he met in Las Vegas, stating that his sister wouldn't be arriving, that this whole meeting was orchestrated to fix him up with the beautiful blonde to his right, two stools down from him.
When Joseph lays eyes on Kaylee for the first time, he can't help but think that she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. She is all woman, with curves, beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes that are so deep they are almost violet. His first thoughts are to leave and allow her to believe that his sister is still coming, but let her be stood up. Joe is a gentleman and can't allow the blonde to sit there by herself thinking someone will show, when she won't.
As soon as Kaylee sets eyes on Joe all she can think about is getting him back to her hotel room, but Kaylee has never thought about sleeping with a man the first night she meets him and is terrified that he is going to think of her as a slut. She is shocked when he agrees to go back to the hotel with her and that he is treating her like the lady she is, regardless of her forwardness.
There is one catch though. Tonight is the last night that Kaylee will spend in the city. She is moving somewhere.... she just doesn't know where yet. Kaylee was blacklisted by a chef in whom her boyfriend slept with his wife, now no one in the city will hire her as a pastry chef and she is leaving town to find employment.
Joe doesn't plan on letting her go that easy though. Will Kaylee stay or will she leave town with Joe's heart in tow?
One night with a wolf is a short story full of passion, romance, and shifter allure. Its very fast paced and you are quickly thrown into Kaylee and Joe's world of regrets and hopes for the future. I never thought it possible to fit such a huge story plot into a tiny little package and have it be executed with such perfection.
I was able to read One Night With a Wolf from start to finish in about 30 minutes. In that time I learned about everything I needed to in order to fully enjoy the story. I even found myself routing for the characters to have a happy ending. One Night With a Wolf is full of hot steamy passion that will leave you longing for more of this delicious book. This is book one of The 1 Night Stand Series ... after reading this I can't wait to see what else Rebecca Royce has up her sleeve for the rest of this series!
This was a great read - one hot wolf and a night of hot sex equal a perfect book. Writing is excellent. Will be reading the other 1NS series and looking for more reads by Royce.
I love the One Night Stand Series. Joe and Kaylee's story was sweet, a nice easy going read. Though left me wanting more.
